Photography for pets and sometimes humans

Seattle, Bellevue, Renton, Issaquah & greater Western Washington

Hello, I'm Alex. Pleased to meet you.

Here are some things I like: art, design, the Seattle Seahawks, camping, hiking, playing guitar and video games.

Here are some things I love:

Moustache’s origins are a mystery. His shelter life started under the name Scruffles in Wenatchee, WA but he unfortunately ran out of time. PAWS in Lynnwood, WA transferred him to their facility but he still had a hard time finding a home and was starting to run out of time again. Luckily my wife and I moved to Seattle and Moustache found his forever home.

Baby Goat

Baby goat was just a few months old when he was brought into the over-crowded LA County Animal Control Center. The Seattle Human Society rescued him and many other pups who were facing a terrible fate. He was only three months old when we brought him home and already he had overcome so many obstacles and scary situations.

Squeak was found alone in a shed when he was no more than two weeks old. Through serendipity and the kindness of strangers, he received critical care and a warm foster home with a nursing feral momma cat. After a month and a half with his foster family, Squeak came back to live with us.

Choosing a Location

When deciding on the perfect location, think of a spot that is special to you and your family. I firmly believe it’s important to pick a location inspired by existing memories. Pike Place Market is very iconic and a great place for photos, but if you’ve never spent time there with your pet, your pictures might feel unauthentic and may not evoke as strong of emotion as a different location.

If you spend most of the time with your pet in the backyard and/or walking around your neighborhood I strongly suggest choosing that as your location.

Parks like Discovery, Golden Gardens, Green Lake, Gasworks and Seward offer incredible backgrounds and tons of options but get extremely busy so I recommend early morning sessions at those locations.

If you would like to take photos at two different locations there will be an additional cost dependent on the distance between the two locations (i.e. If it’s on my way home I’m not going to charge you for it).

What should I bring?

Bring your pet’s favorite toys. If he or she loves to chase a ball or frisbee, you’ll definitely want pictures of them in action.

Bring any items that your pet absolutely loves like a blanket, bed, pillow, sweatshirt or whatever.

I will bring plenty of dog treats. Please let me know if there are any food preferences or allergies I should be aware of.
